Steelers Hall of Fame
The Sheffield Steelers are proud to be working along side Jason Smith in an official launch of a new web site and Hall of Fame for retired Sheffield Steelers players.
The Steelers Hall of Fame can be accessed by visiting the new site www.hallofsteel.co.uk
We are asking you, the Steelers fans, to nominate the players you want to see inducted into the Steelers Hall of Fame. For the next 4 weeks you will all be able to visit the Hall of Steel web site and vote. At the end of the initial 4 week period we will publish the Top 10 Steelers you have voted for.
The Hall of Steel induction committee will then examine the 10 names and over a 2 week consultation period will then decide on the first 4 players that will be inducted.
The Induction committee will be made up of the Hall of Steel webmaster, Jason Smith, Steelers legend and former Captain Ron Shudra, BBC Radio Sheffield's Seth Bennett and David Simms.
In years to come Steelers fans will have a 4 week window every year to nominate further players into the Hall of Steel with a further 2 players voted in year after year. Where possible the Steelers inductee's will receive a special certificate on the ice at a Steelers home game.
So get to it Steelers fans, visit the hall of Steel web site and vote for your all time favourite retired Steelers player. Iceline back on Radio Sheffield
