This year is proving to be rather exciting for Web Express Guide; we seem to have reached another phase that is developing into a series of benefits for every one: readers, advertisers and us.
The new, more powerful and informative Web Express Guide website is almost ready and will be on line shortly, not just to serve as a tool but also as an example of what we are capable of in web design and advanced internet technology.
While our Health and Beauty Section seems to have reached a high level of interest amongst readers, next we are also planning to give Gibraltar a more prominent place within our pages as well as the Portal online.
As always August marks the end of the holiday season and the start of the second half of the year, when the residents come back from holidays and the golfers return to the Costa.
There is no doubt that the number of tourists was grossly reduced and that this year they have chosen to discover those new E.U. members. Probably we might have retained a higher level of visitors if we had given them a better service and value for money in the previous 2/3 two years. It is all very well to increase prices because of higher costs, improved facilities and so on but if you do not give the service and a "smile" to match
"This is Spain! The beaches of Europe! Where else will they go?" well we have seen where and no we are not doing the "foreigners" a favour, it is the other way around when they bring money to the area! Is this a lesson learned or will it take time to sink in? Let's hope it does not need to be proven further because, without foreign money, the Costa would just be farm land.
