Established in 1946, the B.I.A. shop has been located in Irish Town since the mid 90Â’s. Arthur Ferrary, the founder, unfortunately, has passed on but his son, Andrew, is most certainly keeping up the tradition.
I just love visiting the shop, not because it is like walking back into the past and happy childhood memories, but because it is a true Aladdin Cave.
Whatever house-ware you may have been looking for your home and could not find, you are sure to find it at B.I.A.
All those special articles by known brands like pepper grinders by Cole & Manson, oriental kitchenware by Typhoon, flasks by Thermos and even the genuine Swiss Army knives as well as any quality hardware accessory for the home. If you can think of it, they stock it! Can openers, whisks, pots, pans, proper English kettles, everything from a wooden spoon to a 12v/main fridge to hold 27 cans of beer.
At this time of year, a visit at B.I.A. is not just essential it is a MUST; especially as you will find all the traditional decorations for your home at Christmas.
Everything at B.I.A. is in the traditional high quality that we were so used to but at prices that are certainly less than we would expect.
Waste no time, do visit B.I.A., ex-pats from Spain and many parts of the world have been doing so for years but do not forget to take a look at the collection of lead soldiers that were so dear to Arthur Ferrary.
