This is a family run restaurant and probably one of the best Chinese restaurants we have ever eaten at anywhere. It is not surprising that it can get very, very busy, however, no matter how busy, no one is left unattended.
Chinese restaurants are an economical way to eat out, but when you also get a good, friendly service, good food, good choice, all at a reasonable price, it is more than a bonus. We recommend it. Dont forget to ask for the chopsticks.
Apparently there are more people reading Web Express Guide than we imagined because the restaurant has been so successful, that at the beginning of this year it closed for refurbishments to extend it and to improve the ambience for the comfort of clients, many of whom have become regulars.
I think it is nice to see, that some restaurateurs actually do think of maintaining a fair service for clients as well as remaining competitive in price. It is what the Costa needs.
The Slow Boat to China has now reopened. The bar is has been moved and extended, more accommodation for tables has been provided at the rear, air conditioning has been installed and there is even a fish tank with lobsters and crabs for clients to choose. The décor is most definitely modern and more elegant to western eyes.
The prices have not altered but a new, more extended menu is being introduced to make a bit of change for regular clients.
