We are being told that the paseo in Sabinillas just isnt complete, without a statue to commemorate the town´s fishing heritage.
Not a bad idea in principle; so what do we get to commemorate this illustrious fishy past? A nice anchor or maybe a noble looking salty sea dog? No, we get something resembling a constipated Arnold Schwarzenegger, dragging a flaccid tuna.
The Junta de Andalucia have very kindly commissioned and paid for this horrendous piece of ironmongery, one would assume, using tax payers money. I am no expert on the market price of bronze-plated resin, but I would guess that this piece of unnecessary frippery wasnt cheap.
Wouldnt the Junta de Andalucia have made themselves more popular, if the money spent on Arnold had gone on a new car park instead?
Everywhere & Nowhere
A big consideration of every publication should be distribution; for the sake of customers and readers. Its important to make sure that the magazine is delivered swiftly and adequately to those areas most frequented by the targeted readers.
The Web Express Guide can be found in a number of locations, where you would expect to find the more articulate and discerning readers, whereas some publications will drop a couple of copies out of a car window and claim to distribute in those areas, like Sotogrande, Estepona, San Roque etc.
Needless to say, this is no way to treat your customers trust or money! And in the words of the song such magazines are Everywhere and nowhere baby
