Holy bargain, Batman! The original Batmobile has been sold for £90,000, a small fraction of the £2.8m paid last year for another version built for the television show that aired during the 1960s. A study by Harvard University found that lefthanded people earn, over a lifetime, 12% less than right-handers. The researchers also found no evidence to support the long-held notion that left-handers are more creative. Financial Times

Jealousy affects men and women in entirely different ways, with males more likely to throw a fit if their partner cheats on them. While 54 per cent of men would get more upset about infidelity, 65 per cent of omen would hate their man falling in love with someone else – even if they didn’t have sex. Russia has banned transsexual and transgender people from driving, including them in a list of “mental disorders” which preclude people from driving. Also included are people whose sexual interests extend to fetishism, exhibitionism or voyeurism. Pathological gamblers and kleptomaniacs are also banned. The Guardian
