Sorenstam heads debut world list
Annika Sorenstam has been officially declared as the world’s leading women’s golfer following the publication of the first ever world rankings.

Woods- big hitters here to stay
Tiger Woods says golf’s top players will continue to hit the ball further because of greater athleticism. Woods, 30, has won both tournaments in his two starts this season, and the ten time major winner will try for his 5th masters in April.



Sabbatini in the money after win
South African Rory Sabbatini went to the top of the US tour money list with a victory in the Nissan open. The 29 year old from Durban, twice a runner up in his five previous starts this season, won by a stroke from defending champion Adam Scott.

Howell targeting British Masters  
Howell leads the European order of merit
European Order of Merit leader David Howell will play in the British Masters at The Belfry in May.
The 30-year-old confirmed his entry for the May 11-14 tournament, which will be his first on home soil this season

Korean Wi claims Malaysian open
Little known Korean Charlie Wi birdied the last hole to steal a one stroke win in the rain shortened Malaysian open.
The 34 year old, from Seoul, but now a resident of California, completed a nine under 63 to finish on 19 under, one shot clear of Thongchai Jaidee.

Water visible a result of undue effort by foot (25-4)

In a wet area, casual water is not visible before or after a player takes his normal stance. However, by pressing down hard with one foot, the player causes water to appear around the sole of his shoe, is the player entitled to relief?
