The Quiz. Who am I?

Name this person and win a meal for two to the value of €25.00 at Clubhouse Restaurant, at Los Hidalgos, above Eroski. Send your entry by e-mail to editor@webexpressguide.com by the 15th March 2012. The first correct answer to be drawn will be the winner. With your answer, you must supply name, phone number and area where you live.

I was born in Hadley Wood England in 1966. I went to Highgate School and whilst I excelled in some sports especially cricket, academia was definitely not on my list of achievements.

I lost my mother to leukaemia when I was a teenager. Nicknamed, ‘The Cat’ for my ability to sleep any time, any where, I made my debut for Middlesex in 1986. It was here that I developed a reputation for being a cricketer with big talent but little dedication for the discipline of the game. I was an abysmal batter whose career average did not reach double figures.

Unfortunately my larrikin tendencies meant I was later disciplined for numerous offences to do with women, booze, drugs and generally offensive behaviour. In 1994 I was fined for assault.

I played 42 Tests and 20 One Day Internationals for England between 1990 and 2001, and 316 first-class matches, mainly for Middlesex. I retired from professional cricket in 2003 in order to participate in a reality television show. I also co-authored a humorous book and have written my autobiography. WHO AM I?
